Paul Pott is a current Republican Party politician. He is known for being a prolific alter and spymaster, firstly for the New Deal Alliance and later for the GOP. He has been a senator and governor, both in his own capacity and through his many alts. He also served as Secretary of Homeland Security and Secretary of State under John Heydrich.
Power II
Pott joined the game in POWER II and was a founding member of the All Syndicalist Convention (ASC), one of the two primary political parties (alongside the Black Panther Party) that went on to form the New Deal Alliance (NDA). Among his achievements in the NDA is the "Fonzie coup".
He served much of POWER II as a Senator from New York, alongside Sandy Weathers for much of that time. Within the NDA, he served as a Deputy Regional Chairman for the Eastern region and later became Regional Chairman. He was also a Whip for the party and an AA strategist.
Power III
Following the reset that caused POWER III, Pott remained a member (alongside the ASC caucus) of the NDA's natural successor, the Democratic Party. The ASC caucus at the time included people such as Douglas Self, Ivan Johnsmith and John Kowalsky. However, shortly before the first presidential election of POWER III, Pott defected from the Democrats to the GOP. The reason for his defection has been attributed to his bitterness at newer members, such as Jean Lannes and Tom Jason, getting positions of power in the party.

Following this, the members of the ASC caucus slowly defected to either the GOP or to the newly-formed All Syndicalist Convention party. They began, through a combination of real members and alts, to coordinate and win several states from the Democrats. They called this "Operation Zwischenzug". As an "Eastasia Ally" of the GOP, Pott and the members of the ASC became essentially a left-wing puppet party of the Republicans. One notable event was that as Governor of New York, Pott allowed his reputation to get very high, resulting in a concerted AA campaign by Democrats that lost him his seat. This forced him out of New York and to Hawaii.
At the height of this, Pott was appointed to one of John Heydrich's cabinet as Secretary of Homeland Security and was then appointed as Secretary of State in the Anglo Cabinet. Part way through his term as Secretary of State, Rumsod deleted Pott for alting. Rumsod deleted the vast majority of the ASC members over the course of a few weeks.
Pott since returned to the game and remains a member of the GOP, where he is currently a strategy officer. He continues to coordinate high numbers of alts for the GOP.
